Js finished reading the like reviews of the novel…more ppl don’t like this than I thought…… they mostly hate Abel cause of the fact that he’s not even acting like he’s been given a second chance and is js doing everything he did again in his past life
They also hate Karas’s unidentified goal…like hat is it that he truly wants and how he’s kind of contradicting cause at first he’s like he said he doesn’t want to slaughter innocent ppl but then he kills the enemy…?(I don’t really know their point here I don’t think I got it..)
But here’s my honest opinion firstly for Abel I think it would be even worse if he tried to pursue a new life after fucking over karas’s life like I don’t even think he will be able to rest in peace lollll also this is most likely the reason why he even came back to life(regret?) but that’s for that . Also read a comment saying how he’s not regaining his new body, and family they haven’t really been relevant..?except his butler I only thought that it would get a little dangerous for them since Abel is their son and soon to be enemy of the kings heart but then that wouldn’t happen yet cause the only description of him is that he looks like a fairy.
Now as for karas I js want to ask here and pls tell me if I’m wrong, was it his nation that began the war….? If yes then I can’t defend (by the plot but I can against other readers..I think?)him but if no then
1. I think ppl really need to remember that this manhwa is taking place during a war ( it takes two to make a war even if one side has the correct or whatever the both sides are still aiming for each other’s lives and fighting for their own interests and survival, any or initiated by one side and continually wants to oppress the other side is not called a war but genoc!de ) so with that in mind the other countries are aiming to kill karas because they wish to take the power of the empire (I’m going to reread and I’ll edit the stuff I wrote wrong ) so I don’t really want to believe that he would allow himself to die just like that..?
2. Ppl that brought up the bald king first of his greed is what killed him and I hold no remorse for him or his soldiers cause let’s not forget this nigga was bribed by the king’s heart. So what if he begged and asked them to spare his soldiers, when he made (even if he didn’t make it he was on board with it) a plan to push holders on karas and his army do you think he had the intention of sparing them…so now let’s put our thinking caps on and put ourselves in that situation, so if karas had spared the baldies army Yh? Don’t you think they would’ve come back to wage war? Do you think they would sit in fear forever? Yh okay delulu isn’t always the solulu lollll
3. Ppl calling him a war monger did you for get bro was put into war at the age of 8..? Bro already was violent by nature . The analogy for this would be like putting a fish in water and getting surprised that its swimming and not dead pretty sure the war front is his second home
Now I’m not blindly defending him because I genuinely js pity him, I want to know what he really wants like now that Abel’s alive and shi but I honestly believed that if he didn’t find able he would js wage war till he died. 1. Karas' goal starts and ends with Abel. His war with the King's Heart was to avenge Abel's death. After the King's Heart's downfall, all of his focus is on Abel. He tries to do his duties as the Emperor not because Abel wants him to, but because Karas thinks that that'd be what Able would want. If Abel tells Karas to let it all go and just run away with him, Karas will 100% abandon his duties and title as the Emperor.
And readers- whether you read the novel or the manhwa- needs to not put their HUMAN MORALS to Karas because a.) Karas is more of a dragon than human, whatever morality or values you want to impose to him, chances are he wouldn't give a shit because that's just his nature as a dragon; hell Karas is even more powerful than the original dragon.
Even in real life, war leaders can't afford a single moment of slip, else they would be eaten alive in an instant. Karas' brutality is the reality of war, just because you beg for your life doesn't mean your life will be spared. War is not a game. People say that Karas is cruel, sure by human standards, but in reality Karas just doesn't give a shit; he's a dragon personified and he sees humans as ants. If an ant bites you, you will get irritated a bit, crush them with your fingers and move on with your life- that is literally Karas' relationship to humans.
