Idk which country you live in. But personally, I don't think 8th grade matters. More important are your last 3 or 2 years of school (10th, 11th, 12th). -> CV etc for applying to work HOWEVER, to be able to get through those years relatively smoothly, it's important to now learn the basics and get an understanding of it.
