It looks like Osiris made a fake Nephthys to lie and say she slept with him and that Anubis isn't Seth's real son, so that Seth can stop loving her. He then locked the real Nephthys up. No one knows this Nephthys is a fake. Seth isn't infertile. It's all a lie made by Osiris to get to his head.

Yeah I keep seeing alot of comments saying they are confused and there's alot of plot holes and slow pacing. Meanwhile I'm here thinking the author is doing great. Maybe rereading will help you understand it

i’m looking at ch 20 and all mirror!nepthys says is to not forget what the truth, which hasn’t been revealed yet. we don’t know how she got sealed. she also told horus that he can’t trust himself, and that “she’ll” make a move. she—who i assumed—was sekhmet. if you share the chapters that implied/described what you said, i’ll go back to check them out.
The way I already figured out in the first chapters that they dont actually need Iruma to be king and govern a race cuz of the appearance of nova and also cuz Iruma probs won't want to
