I think it’s wild how many readers are quick to call Yigon “dumb” when in reality, he’s just deeply trapped. He’s a chaebol, but one who lives every second under surveillance, in a cage built by his own brother. Every move, every breath, even his own room isn’t truly his, and yet he still tries. The fact that his grandfather chose him as heir says a lot. That kind of decision doesn’t come without reason. He’s not lacking in skill, he’s just surviving in a system that’s constantly trying to break him down.

I understand why people dislike Taekang, but I also can’t help feeling frustrated. Yigon literally told him he’s being hunted, that his trauma is real. But the moment Yigon has a panic attack, shaking and sweating from anxiety, Taekang jumps to drugs? Even after being told it’s a smear campaign created by Yigon’s brother? That denial hits hard. Their “relationship” started with mutual benefit, but these two aren’t just pawns in a corporate game. They’re broken people thrown together in a world that doesn’t give them room to heal. The pressure of being a chaebol, queer identity rejection, family manipulation, it’s all too much, and yet Yigon still wants to live. That alone speaks volumes.

Honestly, I feel like we’re only scratching the surface of the story. It’s just the beginning, even past 30 chapters. I just hope more people can stop judging and start trying to see. If survival under constant fear isn’t strength, then what is?

    Hehehe May 14, 2025 9:58 pm

Thank u finally someone said it, bc i agree like yigon has been under contol his whole life and finally when he got that little bit of freedom people are quick to assume he is dumb, like no he is not he is only trying to survive, same with taekang like i get it he is an asshole but we still need to comsider the fact he was also under control

You have a point but also missing people's point.
He IS dumb for someone who actually has anxiety and scared to death of his older brother.
Usually people like that would be overly cautious and tend to be careful around others.
    But no.

Even when he didnt want Taekang to misunderstand that he didnt use drugs, he choose to meet the very "friend" of him that i shady and druggy.
He also carelessly letting the friend to decide where to meet, eventho he should know best the meeting room is safer for him.
He also carelessly making contact and accepting a suspicious object, even when he himself doubted the cigs.

Most people calling him dumb simoly bc of his carelessnes and the way he handled things.

Sure, I get that from a logical point of view, some people might think Yigon is dumb. But if we try putting ourselves in his shoes, even if he wanted to fight back, his brother had already “booked” everyone around him to keep him trapped. Sometimes money and power can’t control everything because there’s always something bigger behind the scenes. In a tough spot like that, with no one left to trust, if I were Yigon, I might have committed $u1c1de already. But he didn’t, and I think that’s what makes him so impressive. He’s survived this far.

Also, the fact that he chose Taekang as his main option shows he’s actually smart. He’s using someone with power on the same level to try to get out of his brother’s cage, even though Taekang is a total jerk, as we all know.

Of course he makes bad calls, and trusts the wrong people. But I think that’s not stupidity, that’s human nature under pressure. And maybe that’s the part that hurts to watch because we know people like him don’t always get grace in real life either.

That’s why I don’t see Yigon as just dumb. He’s playing a really hard game, and surviving it is its own kind of brilliance. It feels like Yigon has his own way to survive until he gets freedom and happiness. I’m sorry, I still can’t judge where this story is going, but so far, this is just my temporary observation.

Why are we still stuck here? In the latest chapter, they're already dating and had sex for the first time as a couple.

It feels like there’s still a long way to go before we can see Yigon living peacefully and happy. It hurts so much seeing him suffer this badly just for the sake of staying alive :')

I hope there's a portal to take me into this story, I want to save Yigon so bad (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I smell regret arc.

    BL!!! April 3, 2025 6:07 pm

You mean after the "MC got seriously hurt" arc? Yeah, looks like we're he heading right there. I really wonder about the brother's move, though. What's he gonna do?

The regret is definitely brewing... and with how things are going, it’s probably gonna hit hard. I feel like the brother’s not done yet either—he’s too shady to just back off. I’m lowkey scared of what he's planning next
