From the cover art, I expected this to be a shoujo, and it's tagged as such, but it's more of a josei. I missed the adult tag, lol!
I like the realistic manner in which relationships are portrayed, in that it can be hard to find that special someone. On the other hand, the way the MC's relationship develops so far is not so natural. It's still a pretty good read thus far, and it's funny!
Himari: "From now on, I'll date virgins!"
I died at that line! It's refreshing that the girl is more in touch, and comfortable, with her sexual desires.
Hotaru makes him blush in the cutest ways!
On another note, I love how well they communicate with one another, and their sincerity when doing so. Hotaru expresses her feelings clearly to Hananoi, letting him know that she cares for him, without half-heartedly responding to his feelings for her. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the moment and say things you don't sincerely mean, but Hotaru doesn't do that, taking into consideration that Hananoi would be happier if she waits to respond in earnest.
I'm excited to find out how Yao knows Hananoi though!
I was actually paying for this on Lezhin in the beginning. You know, when it had a solid story and a promising future?
Beautiful art wasted on such a lackluster story. Halfway through, it just became entertaining eye candy.
It really did provide some good laughs though! Especially the latest chapter XD
Siwon literally just glazes over the fact that he was kidnapped and sexually assaulted with a simple "see you at school... You owe us lunch!" What. The. Fuck.
Hell, I think I would've been happier with the crazy guy (forgot his name) coming out on top and it ending with some sort of sadistic threesome. At least that would've been hot. Lol!

Anyone can use bubbler in the story summary layout to read the English translation. You just can't see the panels with it. It'll allow you to get the gist of what's going on in the raws though, if anyone is interested :) I think they have it translated up through chapter 37.
To see the panels with it, you would have to have an Otakumole account.
I feel like this is one of those hidden gem shoujos. Hananoi is both understanding and selfless with Hotaru, who is utterly oblivious in the matters of love, yet also demonstrates yandere characteristics when interacting with others. Hotaru manages to be naive in the most endearing way, a trait which often corresponds with a helpless or weak female lead, but is not the case in this scenario. Even when her naivety hurts Hananoi, she recognizes it, addresses it, and either apologizes or tries reflecting on how he must be feeling. I like that she pushes him to be himself, to respect his own interests and desires, and to not change for the sake of others, including her.
I just hope that the new guy is someone that is familiar with Hananoi, and isn't some "love rival" intended to make the story more dramatic. Hell, Hotaru isn't even sure if she likes Hananoi yet! They don't need that kinda drama right now.
That whole bit where Hananoi was talking about making chocolate to make her happy, which would, in turn, make him happy... so adorable!
This entire chapter was just oozing cuteness though, really.
I can't say I'm really feeling apprehensive about the ending though, like how some people are expressing. Maybe I need to go back and re-read it, because these updates are kinda far between (not that I'm complaining), and I'm only remembering all the cute stuff. Lol.
