For this most recent ch, I thought they had graduated HS. In other words, I thought this was AFTER the implied separation. HOWEVER, I'm seeing some people are placing this ch BEFORE the implied separation? What are yalls thoughts?
Could easily be my own cultural ignorance. Do highschoolers typically apply for internships? They also just looked a lot older.
if youuu realllyyy noticed. Theres not set timeline here. Cause if you remember Jian Yi getting kidnapped gone during HS(??) and then he come back ( early chapter implied that) he’s been missing then some art here and there. And then HS and then now without even seeing them graduate?? And the easter egg in the arts like the christmas art wayybefore the actual story? I dont if im making sense or not
At this point. It's my headcanon that zheng Xi is on the asexual spectrum. Maybe even a bit aromantic: I think he sees Jian Yi as his soul mate/other half, but he's also incredibly stoic and we never see him express it directly. But he never wants to be without him.
I reread all of 19 days. Imo the moments where we see progression between og pairing are the following chs: 140-169,206-209, 258, all the christmas specials (they share a bed?!), and now 453.
These last few chaps were so good. Ahhh it was a pleasant surprise to see them grown up. And I was so happy to see the og duo being oh so cute. Ok but I would KILL to see yian Ji finding a side lover so Xixi (forgour their names oop) can get his act together and maybe explore his feelings for his bestie??
Or was it yalls impression that they are together by this point?
And I love how He Tian and lil Mo stayed together through school into their adulthood like high school sweethearts. And Mo is more open about his feelings ♡♡ My heart just melts with those two.
Who has seen the raws/bad translations of ch 44?? Bc I have thoughts and am kinda worried after seeing them.
well i saw a glimpse of it after reading your comment and honestly i’m worried a bit too, but i mean if it’s some time later then maybe it’s not too bad?? and still, hyo-un is not actually a child, so i’m not sure how to feel about this. maybe in these 5 chapters enough happens that the “mindset” difference is not as significant? (by mindset difference i mean the difference between an adult and a being that takes a form of a child and behaves like one)
Yeah yeah, exactly as you said. I forgot his name too. But the guy who took hyo-un in. He still didn't seem 100% on board with what Hyo-un was trying to do at the end of ch 44. I mean with present human MC, he also didn't consent in ch 2, so it wouldn't be surprising if thats the direction author took...
but if THIS is how Hyo-un and his lover(and descendants) came to be bonded (through non-con), then it'll be interesting if there is conversations about it later on... ofc it's all speculation and we'll just have to wait for later chs
Read this around 2015 and came back for morbid curiosity. For the premise, it's handled relatively well, and is well-written. At least it doesn't have any sexual assault--yes that's how low the bar is for manga dated before the 2010s.
My gripe is, though, that they only knew each other for a few weeks/months during the TT-ing, idk why dark-haired guy would hold on for so long. Yeah, he was going through trauma, and blonde was there, but I'm not buying it. And second, why is the fact that they are father-son SOO emphasized in the last chapter? The point is that they are trying to be "just people," but then they pull shit like, "My lover, my father," and it's so cringey because it doesn't match with the perspectives of the characters where they DON'T see each other as father-son (by ch11).
