I like skip beat. Even bought several manga... i love at first the developing of the relationship. But what i love more is kyokos power and determination. That love can never hinder her. Stop her. Shes a pack of power and epicness.
But this last few chapters and well years have been dragging the story...
The development become slow... more like mangakasan keeps on inserting unnecessary characters or bubbles...

Anf this one. I cannot believe that kyoko will not listen to this one and have her thoughts fly when she was hard set on getting the role.
This is so out of her character.

Im just frustrated and sad that the kyoko that fights like hell is reduced to a girl whose jealous and was left in a puddle.

I agree 100% with you...is so Out of character that she didnt listen to the explanation when is SUPER important...im sorry i just dont buy this "new" face of her, just because she is in love? Nah...where the acting passion went...Σ( ￣□￣||)of all my years reading this manga this es the worst fase in my opinion...
Considering that it's been made pretty clear that Kyoko and Ren's relationship is tied pretty closely to Kyoko's development as an actor and person, since... oh... from the very beginning of the manga... I can't take these kinds of words seriously. I mean did you SERIOUSLY believe that the Love Me department wasn't meant to be taken as anything except in name? Lory has repeatedly proven that point of view 100% wrong. W. The Heel arc started precisely because he set out to prove these kinds of 'opinions' wrong. Kyoko bawling in front of Lory and him telling her to use these kinds of feelings in her acting prove *you* wrong. In fact it's not only Lory who proves anything said similar to this WRONG. Kyoko's encounter with her mother proves that wrong. In fact we can go back even farther than the beginning of the manga, to prove that SAME point. And that's when Kyoko meets Ren for the first time as Corn. They ALL point to Kyoko learning to accept her flaws and the pieces of her past one by one in order to BETTER her acting. Which is EXACTLY what she's doing. But I have to admit that I just might be unusual because I, at least, like subtlety.
Actually, listening to what was being said would have made her ooc...? The Bo and Cain Heel arcs prove that. T. PLUS the acting passion is for a character who is jealous of the character played by Kanae. Or... maybe... you don't actually remember that? Or the fact that Kyoko incorporates her own experiences into her acting? Or that her acting sometimes bleeds into her real life? Accepting this part of her is obviously the next step she's supposed to take as an actress, especially if you understood the advice that Lory gave to her at the end of the Cain Heel arc.... So, not doing so would definitely make her ooc.... Hmmm....

What im saying is simple.
Kyoko i feel was out of character because she wasnt listening and she let that bitch get her.
First of all - all her HARD EFFORTS AND AWESOMENESS made her Kyoko. Being setsuna, bo, all other arcs that i lost my thoughts (im already 36 and when skip beat first started i need to buy the manga and monthly magazine). Anime and even the live action i collected... because she was so awesome. She doesnt let anything get in her way...
Its slow in a way - what are the unnecessary bubbles and thoughts of OTHER characters. Even before the audition it took several chapters...
What im also saying is her THOUGHTS BEING OCCUPIED when she was in an audition... thats not Kyoko.
Read the first few chapters... the first audition... her audition even when her foot was hurting...
She is EPIC.
But this chapter...
Well. Read again from the very 1st chapter and so you will know why some of us felt this way....
out of character? what is her character anyway, before the betrayal she is the epitome of dumb lovestruck kinda girl, thats why she is afraid of admitted her feelings cause she know love can bring the worst of people, she even realized that her feelings toward Ren is much worse than before with Sho, thats why she do everything she can to supress it, but what she can do, she is only 16 yo girl, even adult have difficulty controlling their feeling. perseverance and determination isnt a sure thing, we wont always stay positive and strong no matter.
Ive read the raw and all i can say - the uke (shinobu) is the most AMAZING AND STUBBORN AND PRIDEFUL rare piece of jewel. He knew what he wants and doesnt want. And he knew the VALUE OF HIMSELF.
This is the very first time ive read an uke who has a strong BACKBONE ^_^

Right!!! I was expecting Shinobu to be a cliche weak uke that'll easily run back in the arms of the POS seme after they get ignored and treated like crap. I always hated that, glad he didn't put up with Kou and left. Good on him investing in his future.
