I know that people have been starting to hate Onodera recently, but I think that he isn't all that hateful. Now don't get me wrong, I know it's frustrasting to see him taking forever to confess, but bear in mind that in the manga timeline, it has been only nearly a year. Onodera didn't use all that year just running away from his feelings, he's a new employee who need to learn new stuff, to sort out his completely new life. He has much going on in his life, he didn't have enough money to move to a new apartment and didn't have enough time to clean his place. He certainly hasn't gotten used to his new life, for he can't even manage a proper diet without Takano's help. The problem is Nakamura didn't show this aspect of his life to readers, she kept writing about his feelings in seperate days, that's why he appears insecure and just messing around. When the truth is he just didn't want to think about love that much in order not to add more problem into his new life, not to mention his goal is to prove people he has the ability to stand on his own foot, not just some idiot riding his dad's tail. So just be easy on him, give him a little more time to get used to his life and hopefully Nakamura will get better on how to potrait a character better.
Even though I do feel extremely annoyed and impatient waiting for him to confess, I agree wholeheartedly with your statement. The thought had never even crossed my mind that he was still struggling with his life in general. It made Onedera's feelings felt a bit more fleshed out and real.
Yeah, I agree that the last chapter was toxic. I can't possibly argue anything about Takano's behaviour aside from he just snapped from too much waiting and hoping. But still, I blame it on Nakamura. Again, she rarely write about their struggle, as a result, her characters don't appeared to be human, rather just fictional characters. That's why the readers can't related to them in an emotional level. I'm still hoping to see them get together though so I don't want Onodera to be with Nao...

i still very much can relate to ritsu on an emotional level. it's takano that has felt flat for a long while now. just your typical, violent, pushy, no friends allowed seme. haitani's arc was already unnecessary. with nao around, I thought maybe she would step up her game. but no.

honestly, he should get with nao. because this last chapter was like acid to the entire relationship. It's dead to me.
