I love how the author doesn't take the story through the route of typical reincarnation trope. The 'MEANT TO BE' trope or the 'we were tragic lovers or tragically knew eachother in another universe' I mean. I always thought that it was uncomfortable on how you are now bound to a person just bcz they were your tragic lover in your past life. Like, just imagining my self in the situation and realising that I wouldn't want to be someone else even if that someone else is my own past self or som'n. I'm my own person. The author really making both of the main characters question that fact as well is just chef's kiss. There is so much complexity and potential in this trope if we diverge from the idealisation of being destined or fated for eachother and yup, this Manhwa is I believe on the right track with it.
