if you're fine with paying for the games and use a pc, amnesia:memories, taisho x alice, and psychedelica of black butterfly/ashen hawk have great plots.

bustafellows is also another good one if you enjoyed the chemistry between the guys in mystic messenger. also the main character in this is voiced and has a cute and energetic personality

amnesia:memories is the cheapest and goes on sale the most often. psychedelica and bustafellows are both around the same price. taisho x alice is the most expensive (because there are four "episodes" aka four games) but the story is very unique and completely worth it imo

otherwise for free mobile games - love unholyc or dangerous fellows. dangerous fellows relies heavily on in app purchases though

oh sorry, i got mixed up and meant to recommend Mayday Memory, not Dangerous Fellows. They both rely heavily on in app purchases/logging in every day, but mayday memory has a more interesting plot
