Like I just in awe, like what does fl even do? Does she have hobbies? Or any personality? She really lacks common sense. It would be a different of she was abused or something but she wasn’t.
She keeps going on about protecting image, but the shows up in a servants carriage. Even the former fiancé side piece has more development than her.

Literally thiiiiissss... she has no personality whatsoever and doesn't even try to develop one. She only whines about wanting to be a suitable wife, but even if that's your soul purpose in life, what are you actually trying to do to achieve it OTHER than whine? Why aren't you developing a personality, hobbies, interests.. why aren't you trying to read and learn.. I'm sure the duke has a library? She could ask people in the house.. I get they hate her, but she didn't even try.. she could ask her husband to teach her.. I dunno. She's just there.. with a blank look on her face, feeling sorry for herself, thinking she had a hard life when the truth is, it was just a normal life.

This left me very unsatisfied. the set-up was good, but everything fell flat. I feel like if they had more commoner women characters, they could’ve have explored a lot themes, like how nobility affects relationships, gender and power something like that. It would also add to the world building too.
She can’t be the only poor class woman who’s lost a parent. What about the rest of the women in this country? How are they surviving? Why are most of the characters noble men, women when it’s a story about a poor cross dressing woman trying to find her place in society?????
Phew…sorry had to get that off my chest. Although no one might read this, just putting it out there.
