It's a basic character profile, the ones who are absolutely crazy and will kill for their love. An example is Yuno from Mirrai Nikki. The ones that come across normal, but you later on find out that they're threatening everyone who gets close to the person in question (the one their affections go to) to stay away. Of course there're levels of severity, some yanderes don't kill, but all are crazy to a degree. Some will just kidnap you and chain you to their sink, leave you at home while they work and then come back and treat you like they didn't imprison you, like nothing happened. These are not to be mixed up with murderers. For example , Sangwoo in killing stalking starts out as just a murderer and ends up being a yandere once he falls for Bum.
