So I'm on chapter 8 and I really like Fujimoto (the classmate). He's so damn cute and interested in Youichi and kinda annoying and persistent but in an endearing adorable way!!! I hope the author isn't super mean to him and gives him a good storyline :((( i already feel bad for him huhuhu T . T I still ship the two mc's a lot though-- ugh they're adorable. This whole manga is adorable.
not at a particular character really (other than that asshole dickhead scumbag of a professor who should just rot and die in a hole).... but like just at this whole SITUATION. It makes me so upset. I don't really see this as Jungwoo's OR Youngmin's fault entirely. Their actions make sense, and this situation is very real and saddening-- i'm sure sadly quite a few people, be it male, female, straight, gay, etc.etc. can relate. I just want the main characters to talk it out and COMMUNICATE... no matter how cornered they feel or how bleak things seem to be-- if the just sat down and spoke it could do so much aghhhhhh
No wonder alex is so disgusted by love. He was so head over heels for his brother's friend... basically that guy was the only thing that made him happy-- yet look how that ended up. I guess it created this, "the only person i can truly rely on is myself" and "love only makes people senseless and blind" mentality, because that's probably how stupid he felt in the end when reality hit and he realized he was being screwed over by that dude. Anyway, I hope he comes to terms with his past and realizes that not all people are gonna hurt him.... like DG. DG genuinely loved him. Overall, Alex needs to realize he was an ass to the one person that actually cared for him and apologize.
I hope that's where this story is going. I feel like I'm right... honestly so far this manhwa has been kind of predictable.... But I still enjoy it regardless and I don't mind if it continues to be predictable. It's a fun story, the art is great, DG is sweet and you end up caring about him, and their relationship was kinda cute so you want it to work out. Maybe I'm the rare person that has a soft spot for Jinwon too.... idk, i don't think he's a incorrigible human like many want to think he is. He's just been hurt / neglected a lot and because of it he pushes ppl away as a defence mechanism. It doesn't mean he didn't do anything wrong, but his actions are more understandable-- and so he can learn from them and better himself.
Hweemin probably has a thing for the older brother... and that's the only reason he's hanging around Alex. To A) get closer to the older bro and B) because jiwon looks like him. That's what I think lol~
Anyway, I lowkey relate to Jiwon during the exam part >.> not because im being shadowed by a older "better" sibling necessarily, but just that immense amount of pressure parents place on you :/// it really ruins you-- that's what gives me test anxiety lol
Honestly I was enjoying this-- but out of nowhere it just FINISHED. Like that felt so incomplete.... the author didn't even go into trying to fix/correct their past, and didn't fully stabilize their relationship. It was just kept hanging in the middle with them "together", but miyama not being able to completely trust nishina in case he leaves again. WHYYYYY :///
I love their friendship, it was so pure and genuine ;-; It didn't feel like those cop-out "friendships" which actually don't feel like friendships at all, but just an excuse for the author to get them together. I mean yeah we KNEW they would be together in the end, but still, their dynamic feels more real than being purely just THAT.
And then the romance. The fluff and cuteness and the bit of angst in the middle T___T i adore this. IT WAS SO DAMN CUTE. AND WHEN THEY KISSED ; A ; AAAAA MY HEART. It was so well paced too, and the relationship development again felt quite realistic and not overly dramatic or silly like many romance manga I've read. Plus the overlapping themes involving films and cinema added such a nice touch the story.
Honestly this story was kinda stupid.
Main girl tries to go after a guy with a girlfriend already :// that's already really sketchy.... And the reason for falling so HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH HIM? Absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. She saw him on a train, and his smile was nice. Oh and he's popular at school. That's it!!!
And andou-- poor dude. He absolutely deserved a better ending.
