Everybody in this story is so miserable. It kind of makes things realer. Everyone has a story and a reason, so it’s like I can actually understand them. I can understand how Eris wants to go back home so bad while at the same time wishing she could change things and stay here, I can understand why Alecto fell for Helena, I can understand the empress’s hate, I can understand Qajar’s need for someone who could understand him, I can understand the older brother for his obsession and how he wants someone he loves in his life to stay. Though I may not approve of it or relate to it I can understand it.
