Hmm I thought I could get past it, but the age difference was too much and they knew each other since Tamaki was literally a small child, they kissed when he was 13 and Tomo was 25, and even now Tomo is still a minor at 16. I'd just like to address that I understand it's fiction and that's why it's not a big deal, I personally couldn't read it since I don't like the way it's portrayed.
However, using the reasoning that Japan has a different age of consent so it's okay is very much not okay. This is fiction that hopefully only adults or older teens that know right and wrong are reading so it doesn't matter, but please do not excuse grooming just because the age of consent is 13 in Japan, this is not a matter of "cultural difference."
