Yes this is probably going to end sadly and the story has a certain melancholy to it, but I couldn’t help but chuckle when the Dude thinks he’s outsmarting the prince and feels super conniving. Like „hehe he’s showing me this super secret path that conveniently fits perfectly into my plans, clearly he has no idea hehe“ ……. Helloooooo please wake up my guy haha

Can we have a single story where they haven’t met somewhere before? Why can’t we just have a setting where two adults meet and start things off and not this stupid “we met as children” or “I saw him before” bs sorry this story is nice so far but I am SO fed up with that trope

It's /the worst/. I imagine a lot of authors do it because it's easier than trying to build or show real chemistry between two total strangers, but god damn is it lazy story telling. I'm still enjoying the story personally but I would have liked it so much better if they really had met for the first time in the story's present. (':

Yeah I also still enjoy it. And yeah it is lazy Storytelling or this wird obsession with destiny I see in a lot Korean stories. And I am soooooo tired of it. It makes the world feel smaller as well and unnatural because what are the chances of people meeting as children (talking about other stories now) and then meeting again as “strangers” Years later? Not very high especially not in big cities like seoul or in this case in America and here it is even west coast and east coast -.-

Okay so trying to make the second “couple” a thing just doesn’t work here, especially not in one chapter. I think the author could have had the cake and eaten it too if the dude didn’t commit some of the worst atrocities. The story could have mostly functioned if he had “just” been a bully, but no he has to bully, assault, sa and even film the victim and have zero remorse/ is still actively pursuing him for no real established reason besides maybe trauma?? Or some weird power fantasy?? Idk in any case it’s weird to write such a character and then try to couple him with the most chill and nice characters in the story.

Been a while since I have read something that felt new and refreshing. I like how the dragon thinks and acts very different than a person would. The art is also really nice so I hope the story doesn’t take dip.
Also since people are freaked out by the stepfather thing: it seems that the “father” adopted him when he was already a teenager and it was more of a guardian relationship. Is it still a bit weird that the “son” is into him? Yea but that’s clearly part of the plot and character development.
I have yet to see why jj broke up with him. Like is he a bit of a spoiled brat yeah sure but idk it’s not enough for me yet. So far he just seems like a bratty airhead so nothing a bit of communication couldn’t have solved. But we will see if there’s more to come. I do love the racing storyline.
