i don't mind that he gets a happy ending w/ his step brother they both deserve eo anyways since they aren't exactly the best people BUT what bothers is the fact that we DIDNT GET TO SEE SEUNGHO ACTUALLY PAY FOR WHAT HE DID
HE DEADASS COMMITTED ATTEMPTED MURDER AND ORDERED OR ENABLED PPL TO COMMIT MURDER i mean he should spend at least spend a few years in jail or a mental health institutde or sumthin AND THEN GET HIS HAPPY ENDING
it just feels so wrong that EVERYTHING IS FORGIVEN WHEN HE HASNT EVEN ACTUALLY PAID FOR HIS CRIMES AND FELT APOLOGETIC AND REMORSE OVER THE SHIT THAT HE DID
how is it that not a single abuser/bully in this story suffered the consequences of their actions ?!!!?! i get that in real life most abusers get away with it but it’s still so frustrating that there was NOT a single abuser in this story who suffered so much esp minwoo and the teacher who sa-ed cirrus
I think this story is more focused on the healing aspect of abuse…like how these ultimately characters didn’t let their abusers define them
ohhhh when you put it that way, it does make sense why the author didn’t focus on the punishment of the abusers. in terms of the healing aspect, i liked seeing the growth of the leads.
i think for me i’m just into stories that have some poetic justice in them because, as i said, in real life most abusers get away with it so, even if it’s only fiction, it would still feel somewhat satisfying to see them suffer
also, there’s the fact that i binged read this story just the other night HAHAH i guess that’s why i “cannot” move on for cirrus and skylar bc their back stories are still so fresh to me so the hatred and anger for the abusive characters are fresh as well
