I'm so bored and frustrated by the cheap plot devices used to keep the story longer when it should have been done by chapter 90 and wrapped up in a few chapters at most. None of the MC's mental issues are ever addressed deeply enough or taken seriously by the others characters so she literally never experiences any character development. She ends up "liking" Lei but it happens as if this is a separate part of her, this story is just confusing, unbelievable and badly written at this point which is sad because it had potential!
I think their relationship is on a slippery slope. Hyunjin's possessiveness and insecurity as it is acknowledged by the main character and the manwha doesn't feel toxic to me but what I'm wary about is the uneasiness they both seem feel about themselves and the love they have for each other. Mostly the fact that the MC craves his bf's love and possessiveness and presses him to let go and express it to the fullest when put into relation with his past and possible trauma might be a sign that what they're expecting from this relationship is not the same thing. Like, the MC might be trying to compensate for something or fill some sort of need related to his trauma.
THIS!!!! Like it’s hard to explain but you do it so well. I understand why most want the mc and his bf to stay together but they srsly both need to be more transparent with eachother and improve their communication. The bf refuses to let his possessiveness/jealousy show which actually hurts to mc bc it comes off as not caring? Both are unhappy rn and the longer this drags on, the more unhappy both will get. Watching this is just so frustrating (╯°Д °)╯╧╧l I just want everyone to be happy!!
I think the bf actually really cares for the mc, he just doesn't want to hurt him
and tries to protect him like a treasure or something, also holding himself back which already became a part of him (though in that chap it felt as if the possessiveness came out and the he couldn't really control himself), and the mc knows that the bf cares for him - well that's just how I see it at the moment And I totally agree with everything you both said
Agreed, I think the bf is trying very hard to curb his possessiveness because he realizes he has his own rough/violent side but he doesn't want to scare the MC cuz MC's scar is the epitome of 101ShitUGottaControlUrSelfOrThatCouldBeBecauseOfYou reminder. So he tamped down all those jealousy and came out as a bit odd and quite.
MC is not really clued into this repression and turns out to enjoy rough night, so yeah I can understand how this pairing might need a lot to talk and reassuring if they want to stay together.
But honestly, the step brother still feels like a bump in the ride. I don't think he has enough mental fortitude to match MC. They still act like a kid (bunny) and a very mature person (tiger). And author-nim keeps on reminding us about it. So don't where this is going, but sign me up to the end of the story
I absolutely love this, they're so pure but not like unbelievably so, and I like that there isn't some unnecessary drama! The scanlating team is doing such a great job too
