Elle created a topic of Akuheki

I had to stop half way through because it's so heavy I need to digest it properly. The themes this manga touches on are so dark but it's done in such a tasteful and thoughtful way I especially love how sex and death are conflated in the story and how the author conceptualises bdsm like how a depraved character like Kojima became almost like a saint to Iwakura because he lets people use his body.

It got me thinking about the concept of the lamb in the bible how the blood a sacrificial lamb cleanses you. Like you inflict violence and as a result you're cleansed. Which then made me think of the scape goat as a concept, and why we as species inflict violence and what does that mean for the victims of that violence who become martyr elevated to the status of saints because they endured that violence. But then I thought: is BDSM just a way for the sub to experience death in a controlled environment? Death is scary because it's unpredictable so if you could somewhat experience it when and how you decide isn't that soothing in a way? But what do doms get out of it?

Anyways lol I took it a bit far maybe but this manga is very fascinating.
