Not not really. You got the plot wrong. And cheating is wrong regardless of what the "logical" action is. They were engaged to get married technically and had a public relationship. It is f-ed up no matter what
The irrationality of his actions? Well, think of yourself cheated and abused mentally, what would you do if one day you wake up from that point? You'll be angry of course! Here in this story at least she just pour tea on her ex out of anger and that's it. She's hurt of course! Why would she not be angry? She cried thinking she's not worth it because of her social status. But when she discovered that she's not just a low born noble and returned to the capital of course she must have a great self-esteem and not let anyone trample her anymore. It's not directly revenge but on how you can handle past experiences of you/her previous life at the capital.(putting you/myself on her shoes).
