From what I gathered since now I actually believe that Dohyun was probably not in love with Sungho. I suppose he indeed liked him, but that was it. Sungho on the other hand was crazy in love with him and was willing to do anything to keep Dohyun close to him.

Now the thing is Sungho was so desperate that he couldn't stop himself from indulging in Doyhun's requests even though he knew that was sick as fuck. However we all know that love makes people do things they will surely regret, well most of the time.

I actually still don't understand this trauma thing everybody keeps talking about, so if someone can point it out to me (because I re-read it a lot of times but maybe I wasn't just paying attention... that happens a lot to me lol) but I'm pretty dure that Dohyun really forgot about what happened in High School. We get it from the fact that he indeed didn't remember a single face from class even though he did spend good times with his classmates.

Moreover I believe Dohyun is, like most of others mentioned, a very big jerk. I'm not talking about his relationship with Sungho, but about his overall personality. He just enjoyed his life like that, without caring all that much about others (see that girl who slapped him because he told her "Why do you care I cheated on you, you're not my wife"). I know many people may not understand, but it's not that uncommon. I am like that sometimes so I can relate pretty well to Dohyun and I can tell you I can forget about people in a heartbit if I cut off relations with them. Which I'm pretty sure that's what Dohyun did. Moreover almost ten years have passed since they saw each other last time...

So to conclude. Dohyun liked Sungho, but he didn't want to have a close romantic relationship like Sungho desired and craved.
Now we have a very delirious Sungho asking Dohyun to remember, but I'm pretty sure that in some way he still doesn't remember, or at least not everything. Now what I'm wondering is why Dohyun decided to provoke so openly Sungho... Was he so sick of that situation he couldn't take it anymore? Was he trying to end it for good?

Dohyun is a truly strong character, dealing with all that shit in the way he did just speaks volume of him. I respect him, but he's still just human and I'm sure he's gonna break at some point. Or he actually already did without even noticing it... (okay let's say he's my fav and let's end it here lol)

I think Dohyun liked something about Sungho, but ultimately, I don't think Dohyun can love. He simply cannot forge relationships. He erases numbers, forgets faces, doesn't want to be connected. I don't know if he had a childhood trauma that made him like that or he's just a cold person. But he's missing the thing that makes people connect.

I thought maybe he'd learn something from this torture--like see how he's shitty and needs to change, cause being alone with no one missing you means no one calls the cops, no one looks for you: you're on your own and that isn't good if you're kidnapped.

But, well, I guess we need to see what else Dohyun did to Sungho, cause I don't see anything beyond the "normal careless and bad" of humanity so far in Dohyun. He's an unsympathetic guy, but I need to see him do something much worse to feel sympathy for Sungho. I feel NO sympathy for Sungho right now, beyond the pity I feel for someone who clearly is nuts.

I agree. I'm sure Dohyun was interested in Sungho in some way. He did like him, but it never turned into love. I suppose he's like that because of his past: from that snippets we saw the people closer to him (his family) literally abandoned him. So maybe he understood that bonding is just worthless if even your mom is gonna leave you behind. That's what I gather at least, we know very little about Dohyun and Sungho aside their relationship from the past.

Well I seriously hope that wasn't Sungho's intention because that would be seriously vicious. Dohyun is a jerk, but teaching him a lesson using the warehouse as a reformatory isn't the sanest thing to do. Dohyun should be taught about love wit love, not with rape lessons.

The fact is Sungho wasn't the right person at that time. He couldn't break Dohyun's shell. He blindly loved him without understanding what really Dohyun lacked.

Sungho was scarred by their relationship, but blaming it all on Dohyun isn't right at all. They both failed miserably...
Sungho is just too desperate, turning his infatuation in a obsession. He can't let go of Dohyun like he did and this makes him go nuts. He wants Dohyun to understand how much he suffered from their relationship because Sungho loved him. However he doesn't get that Dohyun just can't feel his love, because he has none. Sungho has to show him what love is, but he's too obsessed with the scar he got to actually realize it.

Dohyun is an apathetic guy, however I don't believe he's only made of "hatred". First of all he always tries a "nice" approach, but when he gets pissed he leashes out like many others do. He never compelled others to him or to do what he wanted. He gave freedom, but at the same time he didn't get that some people would do anything for love. Maybe he's manipulative, but that was never his ultimate goal.

I truly love his character because he has such potential and I hope the author will show more!
