So, Lian Jue had a business trip the next day. Wei wei didn't say anything about his birthday that morning and he helped Lian Jue pack for his trip. Wei Wei then went on his own trip to the hospital for a check up.
In the car, the secretary asked Lian Jue to give his gift to Wei Wei, finally realizing that he made the mistake of being inconsiderate. He recalled how hurt Wei Wei was the night before so he thought of buying a gift. He decided get a ring but he didn't know Wei Wei's ring size so he asked his secretary to buy a band aid. Lian Jue remembered how the bandaid fitted Wei Wei's finger when he put it on him.
After buying the ring, he messages Wei Wei in an endearing manner (Lian Jue version, of course). Until he boarded the plane, he was messaging Wei Wei, even to the point that an attendant telling him to stop using his phone since it's near take off. He was reluctant since he wants to wait for Wei Wei's reply.
All of a sudden, he was asked to exit the flight. The attendant told him it was his secretary. Lian Jue rushed out only to see his secretary's worried face.
Wei Wei wss involved in a car accident. It was perpetrated by his adoptive brother. Lian Jue rushed to hospital grief-stricken. Wei wei was already in the surgery room when he got there. He waited outside, and soon Tong tong arrived. Little boy hugged his daddy and cried. Lian Jue noticed the scarf Tong tong was wearing and it smelled like Lian Jue.
Wei wei was in a coma after his head surgery. Lian Jue was by his side the entire time. His adoptive father's partner visited, awestruck at the fact that Lian Jue indeed impregnated a man. Lian Jue stepped out of the room for just a few minutes. But when he got back, Wei wei was no longer there. He scrambled the entire hospital trying to find him and even outside. The cctvs were of no help. No one had seen him.
Wei wei returned to his orginal world. He woke up in a dark alleyway and eventually found his way home. No one was there so he was able to reminisce. He actually met a man prior who gave him a pair of footwear, telling him a pregnant omega shouldn't be suffering from the cold. Despite the familiarity, Wei wei missed the world where Lian Jue is.
Meanwhile, Lian Jue's secretary forced him to go back home, saying Wei wei wouldn't appreciate him being so exhausted. Once he got home, Lian Jue saw the cake Wei wei made for him. A week had already passed by so the cake was stale, and yet he ate the entire cake.
Moments passed, Lian Jue received a message from an unknown number. He immediately knew who it was, rushed out to get Wei Wei, and reunited with him in that dark alleyway. Perhaps, it was a parallel from both worlds. Lian Jue bought him pizza right after!
Lian Jue was thourough in loving Wei wei and Tong tong from that point onward. Wei wei told them the story of where he actually went but they only took it as him having a wild imagination.

They skipped a whole damn acre of plot from the novel. I ain't complaining though. The tension between these two hasn't snapped completely yet. I'm loving it!

Basically skipped how they spent their heats together for an entire week. Shin talked about his family and confessed as well. He also knotted twice and took proper care of Yeonwoo in the aftermath.
