That's because the mechas are for military, not for pulling or carrying stuff (≧∀≦)
Every time I read this story, particularly the rabbits, I remember once I went to a fair and there were two Flemish Giants. One was named "Tastes Like Chicken" and the other was "Goes Great With Gravy." I aspire all rabbits to be named with care like those.

I love the existential motif going on in this story. I pegged it wrong and thought it would be a simple story trope about a body switch, but there's a lot more self awareness than I had anticipated. Each character is going through their own rebellious battle about trying to stay afloat in the world in very unique ways.
Although I gotta say, these plot devices are killing me.
It's like "Irregular at Magic High school" but without the incest.
