This is just to make a bit of a cliffhanger before they either a) get interrupted or b) he chickens out. There is no way in hell that he actually confesses and they live HEA. genuinely one of the most mind numbingly idiotic and useless pieces of fiction to ever come to fruition. I hated every second but because I naively believed that it would eventually get better, I kept reading. Not only did this cause my blood pressure to rise as high as a druggie, but I swear I got dumber just reading this. Was so useless and utter trash. I hated every character especially the fl and ML. Fl was useless, spineless, and had some serious mental issues that needed to be sorted out. And ML was coercive, abusive, and also mentally ill but in a deranged way. I hated him and he showed no actual signs of penance or apology. In my opinion, he was just as bad as fls husband who raped and beat her.
Also, can I just say that I can't believe that audacity of the author to try to make these toxic and disgusting characters seem redeemable. After the ML literally WHIPPED THE FL, they had the balls to only make him think about how he regrets it and then everyone else just moved on like it never happened??? And then you wanna sit there and tell me about how he loves her so much and he'd be willing to do anything for her and he gives her gifts and he shows her affection and she's special to him and blah blah blah blahblah like stfu
