I like this aside from the way the author handled the childhood bestfriend, straight ppl need to understand that a lot of LGBTQ+ ppl will never be able to come out, and that coming out isn't the pinnacle of happiness and liberation ppl make it out to be. Homophobia isn't just a spooky myth, it's something ppl have to live with and sometimes die from. altho i get why someone wouldnt like it in this story if they're just looking for fluff, definitely felt my heart ache at times
I feel ya it's not all sunshine and rainbows not all of us can handle the backlash we have different limitations and trauma thats why I liked hiw the author wrote this one accurately
