It's the author style since the beginning, the author write in different time so you may need to re-read again like ch. 11-13 im sure this chapter 35 is not complete as well and may explain in future chapters

I have a theory that Mel went to Sue's house to try to help Lynn get a heart. Sue is of course is gonna say "become my sex slave" or whatever then Mel will accept. Pd moon is the daughter of the president friend, Ms. gu is the daughter of the president. If I'm not mistaken Pd moon want to meet the president to ask about her patents death.
