Base on my observation, I don't think sasya love karel(yet). He loves the "freedom" , peace and love that karel gave him but not karel himself. That's why he's mind went to "what will happen to me now" rather than "what will happen to karel", he was obsess of the idea of someone was there for him in his lowest. Karel was this pillar of hope that gives sasya this peace, but within sasya he knows that if he leans to this pillar all his life, nothing will change and it'll be same thing over again but with a different man and less abuse.cause rn sasya needs indepence rather than a lover. That's why sasya's selfishness rn is popping off, and not in the bad way.
And personally, i think that's for the best,Karel's "love" clearly was obsession and their relationship was just a pile of lies and falsehood. But that doesn't mean sasya was the only victim of this ill-willed relationship tho, both of them are.
Which brings me to the conclusion that, after having what he wanted and the freedom he got by himself, he slowly understood he really do love karel as a person and not just because of the temporary happiness he had with karel.
And karel hopefully, hopefully within his heart filled with hatred rn, understood whatever bs he did to sasya aint sht and should change for the better.

Communication and trust might be lacking in their relationship rn, but the ml's petty excuses of being busy and not reciprocating the "ily" message is just mess up. Dude really said "i know" like he's some cold mf and not the dude who chased mc in the entire story.
I also hate when author do this kinds of twist near the end of the story (is this the end or ??) it feels force or out of place, it's like its just there to give conflict for this couple just to make them more "real". Again my opinion.
If after this stabbing incident it's gonna be the "all is forgiven, i love you too" scenes, this story really gonna be irredeemable (⊙…⊙ )

don’t wanna rant too much but all i can say is that Chinese BLs raised my standards when it comes to plot writing, character improvement, slow burns and/or romance in general. while some CN BLs are pretty ridiculous the authors still take time building up tension in a way that will have you rolling over the bed once the two finally show romantic gestures.
meanwhile on Korean BLs; idk but i always end up frustrated every time i finish a series. im often left with a lingering thought that says “(character) deserved better.”
not to mention the character writing is terrible, the flawed characters always have such a short, lazy and rushed redemption arc that it feels so unserious and frustrating, same with the chasing arcs like; the bar is so low.
not only that but KR BLs also have a weird tendency of romanticizing abusive behavior, you could say that the author (probably) wanted to write a psychological manhwa but i disagree, it all just feels like romanticization, or maybe its a disgusting fetish between the love of two men.
idk- maybe im becoming mad picky. pearl boy had me gagging, jinx had me crying cause every chapter was so frustrating and disgusting and waterside night had me rolling my eyes. its all so disgusting and its so oddly normalized, the weird fans love to eat up it, the standard for BL romance is so low thats is sad. its so clear how disrespected and fetishized the love between men (or women) is nowadays.
maybe its just me, maybe im just sensitive that i cry over badly treated FICTIONAL characters lol but i do love some Korean BLs like; never understand, incorrigible, heesu in class 2, full volume, the third ending, semantic error and lost in the clouds and a few more. im just frustrated that the bad KR BLs got the most hype
