I liked the core message of this story, every aspect of a person, no matter negative or positive, whether they like that side of themselves or not, is crucial to who they truly are. and to love someone is to accept their flaws, ofc as long as those flaws aren't causing serious harm to others.
other than that, I felt like the part where doyoung realized mr rose was the actual 'fake' here was a bit underwhelming after all the anticipation bc I guess that was very predictable, and purples death was the part that made my heart drop. his suicide really tied together the main point of the story, everyone hated eachother but purple's self hatred made it clear to them how cruel they were being to themselves, to hyunjin. anyway my favorites throughout the story was orange and blue, plus purple at the end.

so this adaptation is not staying true to the novel from what im seeing people say...samks stories keep getting this treatment, first payback and now this. "toning down/softening" aka censorship of stories with darker themes to appeal to everyone instead of sticking to adapting milder stories that fit their taste is such a pet peeve of mine as an avid novel reader and danmei fan, "it's too violent! it's too gorey!" well jessica, not every piece of literature on gods green earth will cater to your taste and be an idealistic wholesome fairytale. might as well make a whole different story instead.

novel readers help me out a bit, I'm on ch70 of the novel and realized the tler is using chatgpt and in some chapters, the same scene is repeated twice in a different way??? genuinely can't tell what's canon and what's made up, another person had the same question but got a half assed answer from the tler, please check the comment here by ajay bc i have the same exact question https://littlepinkstarfish.com/2025/02/11/70/
and please tell me which part was canon in those two scenes that were repeated

Kinda funny that the tler is sharing illegal content with bad chatgbt translations(aka feeding the work into machine learning) but still want to gatekeep content.
Most people here probably r also reading tls from the illegal scans so better luck asking a forum instead of another illegal scans site tbh.(or just pay 10c for the raws of that chpt)

booktoki468. com/novel/6627 (delete the space) this illegal raw one without side story if you wish to checked urself. And yeah, knowing u reading a translation by chatgpt, an AI than literally edited machine translator, even though it's fantl (also illegal even tho they said bought the chapter), quite a bitter aftertaste haha. I had some time to skimming so this from my own understanding from that raw (and got my brain fried along the way lol)

The priest visit the castle abruptly. Basically, the content of repeated scene is canon, just in different wording. tler seems forgot to delete one of them bcs it should be just 1 scene not repeated; they have stand-off for some minutes, the priest apologies bcs he have lots things to do so he late greets Eyra, means he as high priest temple doesn't respect Eyra as new lord. Eyra inviting priest for meal, the priest rejects with i still have a lot of things to do, Eyra : That's shame. I accepted ur greetings, so u may go. Some wording abt let's see how it's goes. This is also when ch 69 end. The another mistake is, the priest never goes out (either tler mistakes or the illegal raw that i read is not the complete one, we never know lol). That's why ch 70, the priest still inside castle and protests abt the Eyra disrespect to Morunka whatsoever, he was very angry that he abruptly meets Eyra in ch 69. Hope this and that raw link could let u sleep better! :]
intricate plot & realistic portrayal of human psychology. this story touched on subjects that leave you aggrieved & questioning humanity, what's right or wrong in a world so torn apart by disease and conflict. sure some complain about unexplained things but i liked that we didn’t fully know what was going on because of the biased perspective. and sak & limas growth both individually & as a pair was stunning. they embodied the us against the world trope beautifully. they might never be free in a world like this, being on the run forever, never knowing if they'll see tomorrow, but it's all toleratable as long as they're by eachother's side. absolutely poetic, esp the epilogue. hm: my boy echo, rip baby
