After years of reading manga I'm 80% sure it won't be gl (also I checked tags on pixiv (just slice of life basically) and a few others sites — none, zilch, nada of gl )

I still hope for the best but I just see this vibe of friends author is going for

I really like bl, I do, but what I like more than any genre is good, thought provoking, interesting, logical stories. Where characters are fleshed out, where you FEEL things, where there's a point. This manga is absolutely beautiful written, character feels alive, there's intention and meaning in their actions. There were moments were I thought "this character going to be soooo annoying" but author masterfully written them and I end up liking them, like Mami for example.

BUT WTF IS THIS ENDING ??? I would understand it if the budget got cut and basically they had no choice but to end manga or like if author was gravely ill, but judging by atogaki it's not the case, author did what he intended??? And it makes no sense. I like bl as said previously but it makes no sense.

Taichi and futaba breaking up is OK, normal even. Usually first love doesn't end up last, it's okay, life goes on. But why he and touma ended up together? HOWWW??? I don't understand, I dooooont. And like in 53 ch it's explicitly showed that no matter what they are bff, power of best friends or whatever wooohooo so like like...

OK people change, feelings change but the problem that there it feels unrealistic, not logical, not plausible. If IF author showed how they would end up together, how feelings would change it would be okay but this abrupt...

It would make more sense for all trio to end up with different people.

I think for me the most unrealistic part is that touma had feelings for taichi even after graduation and at least +2 years. I get it, oh I get it, this feeling of first love and being 17 when everything, everything feels so big, so important. And you feel this big love and think I will never love this big again. But time pass, you graduate, life goes on, feelings change. They went their separate ways, one dude to uni I suppose, other working. And he still dated futaba for 2 years. When you're in school it's easy to meet everyday, but in adult life it's not so easy, sooo we somehow made to believe that they would keep in touch and such popular and just good guy like touma would have trouble dating??? Like he had at least 2 years to overcome his feelings, he knows he has no chance, they're FRIENDS and all (i know you can't easily change your feelings but come on), so like whyyyyyy

Ughhh I still feel like the author was made to end this abruptly because there was this talk which uni they would go to, how they would be long distance etc. And we never shown that ...

I still feel soooo pissed about this ending. Like high school bl romance is my bread and butter, but it feels so weird there, it feels like taichi ends up with touma out of pity or something, like nuh uh, the might have stayed friends (though unrealistic too kinda cos it's like hard or impossible to stay friends with person who rejected you) but more than that nuh uh no no no fvcking way
