Ive never once thought the Beta was innocent but I decided to stick up for him since people are completely shitting on him and acting like YW is a freaking saint when in reality BOTH are at fault for staying in their dumpster fire "relationship".
BOTH do NOT trust each other! YW doesn't trust betas bc they don't omit pheromones, and JO has deep seeded trust issues and knows that YW has no self control bc he loves pheromones/omegas too much. Their "relationship" was doomed the very first time they slept together once YW told JO "its a pain in the ass that you don't get wet down here". like all of JOs insecurities came in like a wrecking ball. What JO did with the latest test was extremely petty and wrong, but I think he just wanted YW to be honest with him and himself. YW is living like all will be rainbows and sunshine if Jo just accepts him but JO knows that’s impossible.There will always be an empty void JO won’t be able to fill for YW and he wants YW to understand and acknowledge that. also YW lied to JO when he said that he would hate pheromones when in his mind he had no intention to do so and his solution was to avoid omegas all together but that is impossible. When a situation arises - YW will obviously not be able to contain himself (Like hypothetically what if YW and a random omega in heat or vice versa get stuck in an elevator with no way out? There's no way YW can hold himself back). Also in the story the omega was passed out so he wasn't forcing himself onto YW but he followed the omega pheromones to the bedroom. YW could have walked out of the apartment like he did at the restaurant but he didn't. However, I do see the SA point of view that others are making for YW but if anything there are 3 victims in general - 1) JO for all the emotional abuse YW inadvertently caused over the years with his careless words and actions 2) YW for being physically punched by JO as well as creating the SA situation that was forced upon him by the pheromones 3) the omega who was repeatedly SA by YW over and over. There were several instances that YW and JO both should have left the relationship but decided to stay in this toxic hot mess of a dumpster fire relationship.
Based off of the recent chapters I don't think there's any way a happy ending where YW + JO can end up together. Both have trust and communication problems. They can't overcome YWs biological urge. Even YWs family said he needs to imprint to release pheromones or else its not healthy. Its like the whole world is against them. YW needs to let go of JO and mate with an omega. JO needs to move on and be with another beta so he doesn't need to worry about pheromones. I don't see them even staying as friends and its best that JO move out.
I really hope they're not end up together. You're right. Their relationship is doomed to fail from the start.
I find the side couple way more interesting than the main couple. I thought they were just boring and their drama was just dragged out. Siwoo and DH are more complex characters, and while a lot of people think Siwoo is a green flag he definitely is not. The author confirmed that DH will go through character development so I look forward to ses that happen. Even though DH gaslighted Suha in the past he didn't deserve the gang of the most recent chapter. I'm rooting for a happy ending or else the story will just feel empty in the end.

I don't understand why people are hating on the Beta when YW the Alpha is so insensitive and flaunts his love for omegas in front of the beta. Yes, the beta is insecure but thats bc the YW has slept with different omegas almost daily over the past 10 years. And now bc YW says he loves him, the beta is supposed to believe him when time and time again YW reminds him that he can only trust pheromones.There's lots of other instances i can point out that shows YW isn't such a good guy and has some sort of omega/alpha superiority complex. With that said the beta isn't innocent either. He should have vented his concern and worries in a blunt manner so that YW can understand. I just want everyone to be happy at the end ( including Hayeon and the dominant omega) although I want YW to suffer a little and then get his happy ending lol.
Yup ur right. I don’t think Beta should be hated on, at least till the whole story is revealed, I find his behavior toxic right now and he is unstable in mind and they both need help.
I’m glad you mentioned Alpha’s superiority complex, and the part about trusting pheromones. He loves him in a demented way and I think he wants to fully dominate beta, he oversteps his boundaries by covering unknowing beta with his pheromones as he can’t be marked, to make other alphas/omegas back off. This shows that his possessiveness is insecure/unhealthy. I’ve also noticed that Alpha regrets in his mind that his partner is a beta and that he’s always unsatisfied with their sex because of wanting beta to have an omega’s pheromones, these thoughts are toxic, if you love your partner it should be unconditional in regards to their identity you love them for who they are. And thoughts like these unknowingly get translated to actions. I feel like Beta knows what Alpha really wants. I do want to understand where his phobia stems from, whether from Alpha or his childhood. One thing that makes me really frustrated is that they each have problems and there’s not a lot of communication between them apart from sex

He is a person that can’t be in a relationship with a beta since he doesn’t put in effort to have any self control. Beta should find someone else, that beefy alpha from work seemed like a nice person.

Like that's what I don't understand about YW. If he loves omegas so much then why try to date and confess his "love" to the Beta? Beta deserves a better partner bc the poor mental state he's currently in is mostly due to YW. Also I thought about JO pairing with Hayeon but he seems too much like a fluffy puppy for the jaded JO . If anything it'll be nice for them to be friends so that Hayeon can help the beta.
I understand if someone dislikes JO but I don't think he should be hated on. They both need individual and couples therapy bc they have very deep seeded issues. Yeah, honestly I don’t think alpha loves beta since he doesn’t bother to control himself around omegas. He’s not serious at all. Them ending up together is a bad ending, alpha will just go around sleeping with every omega he sees and beta will just go down the self destruction path
Someone told me that the author said the beta won't turn into an omega. So the only way I see them being happy together is if Alpha through some miracle or accident loses his ability to sense pheromones, and then he apologizes for being dense, and works on building trust with the beta.
