Well, this story can't please everyone so if you can't handle Jaehyuk at his lowest point then just drop it as early as you can, because it's likely that no matter what character development he gets, it won't be enough for you
I mean this story never tried to be deep anyway. I personally got hooked from the hate sex and both their pettiness. I stayed because I like Garam and found Jaehyuk goofy enough to root for. So for me, the development feels rewarding lol

I truly don't understand why people hate him that much. Finding him super annoying ok, but hate? This is a light storyline and his character was meant to be funny all along. Now that he's becoming serious and cute people are hating on him oO

He's way less harmful than other jerk semes, and Garam knows how to put him in place so their dynamic is more balanced. Also, despite him being trash, it's been shown here and there that he does gradually care about Garam. On top of that, he's so fucking stupid and goofy and that overall, he's really not such an unlikeable character. I found him and their dynamics entertaining from the start.

- After the phone call with Bohyun, Garam immediately heads out to go to the bar. He thinks that he's crazy for trusting Jaehyuk. He imagines showing up at the bar to see Jaehyuk kissing a girl, then he remembers the way Jaehyuk looks at him while he was laying on his lap, and he stops in his track.
- When Jaehyuk asks him if he was crying, he says he wasn't. Jaehyuk tries to explain that Garam is misunderstanding something but Garam cuts him off and says he didn't want to talk about it.
- Garam heads to his room while Jaehyuk asks if Garam really doesn't care about him and whether he leaves the house or cheat on him. Jaehyuk says, "Right... I'm sorry. You don't even like me, but I was hoping for too much."
- Jaehyuk was walking away when Garam actually goes out of his room and tackles him from behind. While crying, Garam says, "Who doesn't like you?!" He says he was gonna let it go. He tells him about how he planned to go to the bar to check everything with his own eyes but he thought about what happens next and it's that it would be over for them. He just tried to keep it in.
- Jaehyuk hugs Garam and says sorry for getting mad over nothing and leaving the house. He says he really didn't do anything shameful and asks for Garam to trust him. And Garam says he wants to believe Jaehyuk too.
- Garam still worries in his thoughts about what if he gets betrayed again, but then Jaehyuk says, "What if I get a chastity belt or something?"

This was a rollercoaster of emotions on every level. From Garam’s imaginations to Jaehyuk’s desperation, our guys didn’t disappoint!! I truly hope Garam is able to finally open up and let Jaehyuk in. I know Jaehyuk has some redeeming to do on his part for how awful he was in the beginning, but he has demonstrated that he truly cares for Garam. I just want them to work out!!
Yeah Jaehyuk can't blame Garam for having these doubts. But also I do think this chapter showed how much space Jaehyuk had taken up in Garam's heart. Garam tried to hold it in and let the issue go all because he didn't want to end things with Jaehyuk, he would've never done that in the earlier seasons
Thanks a lot! I also rush in here right after reading the raws I am glad Garam didn't isolate himself. At least it his melt down shows that he cares for Jaehuyk. I still think he needs to do more and communicate better. I feel like it's always about him. He constantly forgets about Jaehuyk's feelings but I guess it's just a sign of lack of confidence
