I can't ship real people togheter, nor movie and tv show characters, neither kpop group members.
I don't know why, I cringe when I see their ship name or fan novels about them.
Maybe because they are a real people and actually they are not homosexuals that I can't ship them.
I'm totally okay with shipping manga, anime, book or game characters togheter. Who cares about that female, let's ship these two hot guys XDD

I don't ship real people. There's a difference between shipping and thinking two people would look good with each other, which I am "guilty" of doing. Same goes for movie and television characters. I might think that two dudes, dudettes, et cet. would look pretty good together, but I'd never go so far as giving them ship names, fangirling when they come within three metres of each other, and weeping (or even really caring) if they end up with someone different.
I also find hardcore shipping of completely fictional characters pretty cringeworthy, but I have a better opinion of it then shipping real people.

Yes, I do ship and I don't feel guilty at all. I believe every woman felt in in love with a celebrity (actor, singer, whatever) and shipped herself with this person. I know I did and the actor I felt for don't even knew me. But I liked him, is the same with ship two guys together. Tv shows characters, I don't know why is wrong because is the same of ship manga characters, they are just characters.
Sometimes I ship my friends together (yaoi, yur or just het, because they make a cute couple).
Of course, I don't believe the most of my ship come true and don't get mad for that, is just for fun.
And you said the singers are not gay, but how do you know? Most of them don't come out because it can destroy a career and they just can't for contract, especially people from boy bands.

Yeah i ship many people, but my fav ship in real life is 2 guys from my class, one is the class representative and the other one is the topper XD they sit together , eat together and basically they do everything together. I am the only fusjoshi in my class so no one notice them in that way , except me.
