as always this author never disappoint me,
she is not afraid of showing the shitiest of the word and she doesn't try to sugarcoat it
but she still manages to inspire and show us that there is not just bad
that everything could end up alright if you have support, that we can't live alone that people has a lot of different selves etc
I LOVE IT
I love even more that they are realistic, there is a "understanding" but there is no "you are bad and that one is good" like she says everyone can be a victim or a predator depending of the environment and circumstances (some have more predisposition than others but) think otherwise is being a hypocrite and a closed minded person (the kind who dehumanizes people cuz they are "bad" and by so unworthy of things like basic dignity, no need to say this is the cause of all social problem, discrimination leads to segregation and after that there is just hate) but still she makes clear that hurting others is NOT okay that there is consequences, and not some idealistic shit like "the savior intervention" intervention means the problem could not be solved and to me always gives a bittersweet taste as in most cases intervention just comes AFTER the worst happened, and in the end each person will have to make their own conclusion either way
I think this author understands all this aspects the best,
of course everyone wants justice to be done and the preparator to pay for it, but this is not what happens in everyday life, as a victim myself, no justice was done for me, as for most victims, when justice fails acting in hate won't change anything, revenge will not stop it from happening again with new characters. I can just show what they did, and the consequences for me and hope the people who hurt me wont hurt anyone else, hope they will come to understand what they did, with or without justice I could never forgive, not while it still hurts, and it will always hurt but life goes on, and we have to carry on
