I have a similar condition and even though its fiction and there might be more than trauma as factor for facial blindness im still very envious that in the end he could have seen faces TwT i cant even recognize my own wth ToT. But yeah very cool story, pretty art, and idk i just love that representation causr it actually very accurate, like for me its just general distortion around the face area but yeah overall author gave a pretty good rep of the condition T^T.
I somehow could relate as well but slightly in a different way. Mine is not that severe tho. I have no prob seeing faces but if someone try to ask me go describe the facial features even my family or my own, it comes up to me clouded or blank. So I'll definitely be the worst crime witness if ever ( ̄∇ ̄")
Did you go and see a psychiatrist? Or a mental specialist? 晓路
Yes, its a brain development in my case, the front part of my brain has problems with some visual oerceptions as well and bec faces are dynamics brain cant keep up
Oh i thought the same in the beginning but im actually totally different, i see faces perfectly but i can't recognise them. When i imagine people i know, i can accurately visualise some traits, specificities, part of their faces one by one, but i can't put them all together to see a whole face. It's not much of handicap in my everyday life, i have other ways to recognize people. mainly their voices or the way they walk, it just takes me a bit of time when someone comes at me (which is always pretty awkward) It wasn't triggered by some traumatic event though, I've been living like this since as far as i can remember, and I didn't know it was a problem until adolescence when kids around me started to get upset because i was "ignoring" them.

What's funny _or actually sucks, you tell me_ Is that this only applies to humans. I can tell animals appart at first glance, even when i only saw then once

I have autism and experience facial blindness not related to trauma, so it's not as bad as the guy in the manga, but I can relate
