Something like girl pretending to be guy for whatever reason
Could be to go to all boys school or to protect her identity cuz someone is after her, or something like 1/2 Prince where her character is a guy in a game. Or anything really as long as it’s a girl pretending to be a guy skskskss.

I think it’s really stupid that they put yaoi in a box like there isn’t different types of yaoi. Thats like saying anyone who like shoujo is toxic because shoujo doesn’t portray female x male relationships correctly therefore you suck because you like it. There is really shitty shoujo and there is amazing shoujo.

Another thing, they complain because women writers dominate the yaoi genre yet there is a ton of gay males and females, even trans and etc who read yaoi, who cares about the gender of the author, I thought they say gender doesn’t matter? I guess it matters if you’re a straight female!

They are saying read bara instead because yaoi sexualizes male x male relationships...WTF BARA IS LITERAL PORN. GOOGLE BARA ON GOOGLE IMAGES and tell me if you see some non sexualized male images, bara is 100x more sexual like bruh cmon!

Also saying they hate fujoshi. Ok we all know there are annoying fujoshi because they are young kids or teens. If you like yaoi and are mature decent person do you consider yourself a fujoshi and/or should you be labeled a fujoshi by others? I once joined a yaoi group and I was surprised because when I joined the people who messaged me saying “welcome to the group” they were all MALE AND GAY! Once again gays read yaoi too, another thing was that they all liked shota. In the post it says blah blah minor x adult is bad, but it’s not real though. I actually like to read teacher x student yaoi or shoujo or novels, does that make me a fucking monster? Like damn.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YA’LL THINK. A instagrammer I really really like reposted this and I was so sad because he’s gay and draws male x male drawings that are really good but he hates yaoi and “fujoshi” so everytime he post about hating them I just wanna shake my head because I like YAOI and I am not toxic nor do I fetishize gays nor do I harass gay boys in public like they claim is typical fujoshi behavior.     it's seen as toxic because apparently, straight females are not allowed to read anything other than girlxboy romance. the funny thing is, I'm not interested AT ALL what business people have in real life, I don't walk around forcing men on other men. I don't pay attention to other peoples sexualities, nor do I care. I just enjoy reading majority boyxboy content, but I keep that world inside my phone/laptop and don't take it to my normal day to day life.

    I don't "sexualize" gay men. that's just fucking creepy and fetishizing a group of people and their sexuality is gross. are people forgetting that gay men and women read yaoi as well? or do they think that a bunch of girls sit around on a bench with binoculars stalking gay men all day?

    Everything will trigger people nowadays, sadly. I don't consider myself a "fujoshi", nor will I call myself that even if I do read majority yaoi/shonen-ai.
    It's all about perspectives.
    Yaoi can be fetishizing, but let's not pretend like romance novels have not been doing what yaois have been doing for far longer, or that there are some shojo s that are pure smut.
    In short, I think people should let fictional characters be, if anyone cannot see the difference between a drawing and real life, it's not the authors fault.
    Live and let live isn't my motto.

    regardless if you're a straight woman or lgbt woman, you are capable of fetishizing gay men. being lgbt doesn't give you a free pass. just wanted to put that out there.

    also, i've seen mature older women call themselves fujos. so it's not just the teens who are being annoying. doesn't help that when others call out the younger ones who are being toxic, the older ones defend the problematic behavior instead of acknowledging why people are calling that person out.

    And honestly, I don't blame that Instagrammer for not liking fujos lol. nor is he obligated to like fujos either.

I’m feelin’ girly. Anyone know any mermaid mangas? I have never read a mermaid manga but I remember I used to watch Mermaid Melody when I was a kid, spoiler alert, that shit fire.

So anyone know any shoujo manga that is fantasy because the MC is a mermaid, or the guy she likes is a merman, or there is a mermaid society, or the whole manga takes place under water. I already know about Sirens Lament because I have webtoon. So if anyone knows any other shoujo type manga with mermaids I would be in your debt. Thank you.

I love gender bender manga, mostly shoujo kind, or action/adventure. One of my fav gender bender is 1/2 Prince. Can you recommend me any gender bender manga where it is a female that is pretending or disguised as a boy, or even one where everyone assumes she is a boy because of how she dresses, thats fine too. I just need some romance in it, that “ah I’m gay for him oh wait it was a girl all along” or maybe a “gotta disguise myself as guy to infiltrate an all boys school TeEhEe” LOL I’ll even take a “lemme switch places with my twin bro”.

Hopefully I haven’t read any ya’ll recommend, but...
