I haven't finished reading the novel since it's not completely translated and I can't find a completed MTL one, but I have read the next part... So here's the spoiler:

After Kwonwoo's original self came back, Dowon is confused and went home, only to see the food Kwonwoo prapared for him earlier in the freezer, (the one he didn't finished eating in ch 45). Then he received a code red from the center, telling him to go to the hospital, asap. So he goes, and saw esper-nim on a coma due to his awakening in a higher level, and they are asking him to guide him, or else he could die from too much energy. So Dowon guides him, but only by holding him, and esper miraculously stabilizes. And they found out that they have imprinted on each other the last time they had sex and Dowon hadn't taken his medicine (see ch 45, which is later found out that 20-year Kwonwoo did it on purpose to imprint him). Dowon then asks the doctors how to remove the imprint, and finds out that there is only 2 ways, either he imprints with other esper or one of them dies. But imprinting with another esper needs an equal or higher level, which is the only other S-rank is in busan. Esper-nim then wakes up and talks with Dowon for them to return to their initial relationship as esper-guide and find a way to break the imprint, and Dowon tells him he knew the way, that he just need to imprint with other esper, just give him some time, or whatever.
They return to their house and Dowon takes all his things, and finds the unfinished food and note in the freezer, esper-nim saw the note and throws it in the garbage, and then Dowon tries not to break down, but he eventually did and cries, blames esper for not remembering and runs away, Kwonwoo runs after him, and Dowon said to give him sometime, and he will definitely break the imprint. (I literally cried in this part, the way Dowon cried his heart out is just so fucking painful)

Brief summary of what happened next: Dowon asks for a vacation, goes to busan to meet with the esper and then starts esper's chasing arc, how he always try to prevent dowon from meeting the other esper, he even volunteer for a repair work in Busan just to follow Dowon. So yeah, cutie kwonwoo's purpose for imprinting dowon is just so that even his mind forgets, he will still remember. That's all the spoiler, coz it's only up to ch113 in zenith translation.
