Do you ever think that reading yaoi is wrong? or maybe, something inside you not right? I like to read manga, yaoi is one of my fav. but every time someone know about this, they look at me with weird faces. some people ask me, what do you like in yaoi manga? I just say, I like it. Is that answer alone wrong? they asking me the same again and again. sometimes, when gathered with my friends *are they my friends or not I don't really know*, they telling jokes but by saying like I'm not normal, be careful with me or something like that. there was one time that someone talking to me, 'hey, I know what you like to read. you like that kind of manga right? I heard it from your friend. don't worry I'm not judging you.' and that person telling me that, *My friend says what I like and explain to some people without my knowing. am I over dramatic? I like to share about yaoi manga but that is if the other person like it too. because I know not many people open-minded about yaoi manga. so, is reading yaoi wrong? am I wrong? {sorry for my bad english} ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
You shouldn't listen to what they say... If they day you're not normal like them, then be glad, because it means you're not ignorant like them. Being different is fine. If you think yaoi is enjoyable to read, then keep reading. I'm a big fan of yaoi. Do think I care what people say? Don't ever think you're doing something wrong when it feels right.
Actually, my friends(close ones) are really understanding. When i first told them i enjoyed reading yaoi, they were like "yaoi? whats that", so when i showed them some of my collection their faces were so funny. They never made fun of me for that, one of them even asks for shounen ai reccomandations and sometimes i just find myself telling them the plot of the recents yaois i've read. Long story short, it depends on people around you. They never treated me different, or made fun of me so i never thought that reading yaoi is wrong.
I don't think it's wrong. People should enjoy whatever they want. You don't look down on men (most of the time) for watching porn, right? Nor will they get arrested for it (unless it's somehow illegal which is a completely different story). I think reading yaoi is great and one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I don't see how it could be harmful/bad in any way. If they don't like seeing you watching/reading yaoi, they should grow up.
I have this one new friend who I always talk to manga about and she and I were talking and he said "you should read killing stalking" and I almost died I was like "YOU READ KILLING STALKING!!!" Since then I have been working to turn her into fujoshi so I have advice for you
1)for example yaoi is kinda my secret hobby if you know you know but I don't go out of my way to tell people
2)if your with a friend you feel comfortable around mabbe bring up a yaoi for the conversation
3)if they're kinda okay with it recommend the a a yaoi (I'd recommend killing stalking tbh it has a really interesting plot it's yaoi but it dosent focus on the yaoi to much)
4) beat around the bush recommend his really good yaoi you read (like seriously hype that shit up) but don't tell them it's yaoi at first be really descriptive about the plot and get them interested in it and the when you finish explaining it just be like"btw it yaoi okay"

Guys can fetish about boobs or butts and girls can fantasize about men's body and shit, so dem' people need to let us have our own kind of porn. To be honest reading yaoi manga got me open to so many things that I now support the LGBT community to the point it pisses me off when someone discriminates them or bad mouth them.
