The reason I still read this is because I can go to any chapter and still understand the plot. Yeah, nothing new with the plot but the art is pretty. Honestly idk why it's getting drama adaptation. There's nothing to explore with the storyline

It feels weird that shounen manga never really have a problem with "project sniping" and just peacefully release their own versions. Shoujo mangas are like battlefield with those mean girls claiming over projects and oppress smaller scanlation.
It's weird to see Ayanokouji quite expressive in the manga after watching the anime. I am curious about one thing tho, at the end of season 1, Ayanokouji said that he didn't view anyone as his ally and that humans just tools. Isn't it quite a hypocrite to say since he was looking forward to get friends when the school just started? And he was the one who approached Suzune at the beginning. I do notice him getting much colder and calculative as the episodes going, but I think it's just weird?
same. i was just wondering if he's almost trying to trick himself, and the creators of the anime agreed to just cut his personality a little to make it more obvious. idk. i feel like the anime did it much better, honestly.

I mean he seems to be a highly functional sociopath. And sociopaths tend to be antisocial however they can feel little empathy and care for those who matter to them unlike psychopaths. He mostly only acts or does something for his own benefit and never anyone else though, including forming relationships he can use later on. And sociopaths especially high functional ones like ayanokouji are scary becuase they can feel.
It is really not that hard to understand. He was threatened by Chabashira, so he was forced to go full on survival instinct. Ayanokouji clearly wants to experience a normal life, but his situation made him unable to. Also wanting to have friends, while is a genuine desire of his, is stunted by the teaching of the white room, where he must see everything as tools to survive. Ayanokouji is one where his disposition and desire is at constant conflict due to his upbringing.
Now.... I feel bad for Jeannette. Jeannette did nothing for Ezekiel to say that -_- that's just blatantly being too cocky. Or did I miss something? Did Jeannette said she had romantic feelings towards ezekiel?
It was not a "romantic" kind of rejection. He was saying that now she isn't his top priority anymore. Since they were little he always took care of her like it was his duty, but now he has things he wants for himself and he wants to focus on that rather than only doing things for her sake

yes it isnt something to be sorry for but in a way it wasnt a healthy relationship. ejekiel's pulled down by his father and their family name. in the first timeline he married jeanette because his father demanded it and he didnt know how to escape from that. but now because of his love for athy he even warns his father about executing the plan when claude's most vulnerable (the time he pointed athy out during his bday)
ejikiel felt obliged to take care of jeanette especially cause her childhood was the worst and he was too nice and too manipulated by his father that he makes her his number one priority
