So I’m not 100% sure I know what happening but I THINK (maybe) the divorce was staged for publicity then he lost his memories and is rolling with it but no one knows he’s lost them? Or I’m just way off base here, I’m really not sure he even lost his memories yet

I think when the dude covered him with blood he became a vampire. He was supposed to die in the daylight but he was saved. To answer your question no he was not a vampire the whole time.
