I went to novel spoilers and saw someone commenting the same questions I had in which someone replied but it still doesn't explain how the swan touched the locket of it was with MC? I also don't like the fact that MC is so obsessed with swan. I get that because of her MC could get into the dukedom but still it is too much for me when MC rejects goodwill of others when they haven't even saw swan.

Okok if I remember correctly, Swan got the pendant powers bc the pendant latches on to the weakest life nearby. Again, Swan was supposed to die wayyy earlier than she did, like as a baby, but the pendant gave her a couple more years.

the locket is placed near the babies, swan and lilian. the locket choose swan and gave her life and appearance. the former orphan director choose swan based on her look, he probably gave swan the locket.
Ok so I couldn't wait any longer so I up and went at the site. While the story has somewhat progressed, was it necessary to put that ex fiance on her tail?.
And so mc gets kidnapped, gets fear of men and then few chapters is accused of being in *not normal relationship* with the captain Douglas by the scummy fiance.
