Interesting, it's a little different from the novel...originally the MC's hair is black and she should be dating someone else in the beginning...perhaps that character will show up later...

The novel has a bit of a slow start and this is reflected in the manhwa as well. It’s a good story, but unfortunately the translations for the manhwa is…..sub-par at best. Confusing af too, I’ll wait for better translations

To clear it up for people:
The world is a reverse harem so the “emperor” is actually a she (ie empress) and her concubines are all male. As to why our MC is the only female it’s because her father wanted to spite the empress (who required one concubine from each noble household) and thus sent his illegitimate daughter, a child AND a girl.
