I know yaoi is meant to be a Boy x Boy thing, and that should be the focus of the story. But I've heard a lot of people complain when a character also has a thing for girls, or when there's a sex scene with a girl. I actually enjoy them and its kind of sad only a few yaoi mangas explore bisexuality, without the "i used to be straight but now im gay" thing.
yeah...i like that too.. I mean I would want to read some manga (shoujo, shounen) and dramas that have some bisexual main characters too. idk, something about this makes the characters have more fluidity rather than just binary labels and i really like that.

just because there is a sexual relation between a male and a female character it doesnt automatically make it a hentai and if you are looking at it that way isnt yaoi also a form of hentai
Why the fuck would you enjoy a sex scene with a girl get outta here you don't belong Peach
wow so you're one of those guys, having your preference is something but then judging others for it is another i guess girls/guys like you are the reason people think fujoshis are cringy well they're right

Well if you want to see hetero sex in yaoi go and read hetero sex instead of yaoi, fucking disgusting.
Actually...I love bisexual characters... The "bisexuality" theme isn't nearly as developped as the straight or gay ones, it should be addressed waaaay more than it currently is....As ;(and this is just a personal theory); the majority of humans aren't actually totally straight, but just have different positions on the sexual orientation spectrum.

new genre!!! idk do people who read yuri want a dick slipped in? it seems like the main yaois being updated are webtoons. so maybe there are some like that
To me that just makes the whole thing more interesting :) I don't mind if there's a male x female sex scene, if it's a yaoi we all know it won't be the endgame, and usually the mangaka won't make it too long.So... Fantomeducouloir
ive tried other genres but return to yaoi. unfortunately I don't think itd really work. our mc being dumped by their partner cause the partner gives into what he thinks society wants him to be. or our mc, whether the uke or seme, is being used by their partner as a way to see what sex with a guy is like and then wanting to keep mc on the side or rejecting them once they've used the mc. the mc being fearful their new partner is gonna dump them for a woman. its like its a trope used to further the story along. theres some yaois by hinako- theyre who come to mind- where the mc seems bisexual but at the end you know they'll choose the guy.i think it could be done as a webtoon or a longer than usual yaoi but I think bisexuality as a trope and also the average length of a yaoi kinda keep the subtleties of bisexual love or sex from really being explored. theres more guys who are kinda asexual than bisexual. for me personally, I like for there to be a concrete ending. a defined couple. and I just don't know that your average yaoi reader will have the patience for it, even without depictions, or not. unfortunately bisexual partners are used to project fear in the mc or is just meant as a catalyst for the story. I think haru do wa ita(?) by nitta yuuka is the best at portraying bisexuality. but Iwaki is kinda asexual in his personal life whereas za previously hetero kaito embraces having Iwaki as his partner. and theyre reversible too. but theres another sub genre not really explored- reversible couples.theres a lot that could be done with yaoi and either its not portrayed or its not whats translated?

I've only seen bi (or just sexually fluid) characters in webtoons rlly, and they are mostly girls. Idk why aren't there more male characters like that

Not everyone appreciates the old gems ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Especially nowadays since newer readers are in it for the sex first and the story last Fantomeducouloir
Actually no. If the story is shit it's less than 7.9 If there's only sex and kind of a good plot it's at 8's If only sex and no plot prolly 7-8 (this is only because they want some good fap material)

I know what you mean. when I started reading manga I didn't understand the genres. it didn't take long to settle into yaoi, but I didn't know what to read. so I either took the recommendation they gave or read everything by same writer. some that are lower rated or older have been some of my favorite.the thing I don't like is when its terrible art and story.so long as one is good ill plod thru. but yeah.even a nice build up is good. now its gotta be in first chapters and explicit. there really is something to a really great story. the one tag that I learned to run from in a hurry is tragedy. I binge read a yaoi for hours and then realized what tragedy meant in yaoi. cried my eyes out. I do appreciate smut once in a while but now I have trouble finding something new to read because it feels like ive read everything else. also checking when last update was. learned that really quick! ;))
