Kisaki created a topic of At the Northern Fort

Really cute and all, but the whole trip to the capital bit really irritated me. This manga spent chapters upon chapters showing and explaining how Mil's fox instincts are very strong and that's why even though she has memories of being human and understands human behavior and knew the soldiers wouldn't harm her, she couldn't help being on guard and vigilant against them. Then for whatever reason "she isn't even as vigilant as a normal fox, even though spirits are supposed to have even higher senses than regular foxes" and completely loses her fox instincts and doesn't even notice there's a whole group of soldiers and horses following and observing her from right behind her. Where is the consistency?

Plus, I understand her young body affects her emotionally, so she's more playful and emotionally dependent on people, but since when does that mean she's naive and dumb? She still understands sex because she becomes shy and closes her eyes when there are naked men around and figured out who her father is by listening to the very explicit but equally puzzling conversation for a young child that her mother and the fire spirit had, so it's not like she can't think like an adult or doesn't understand concepts that adults do. But for whatever reason, she thinks an ugly plushy left her jerky and money in her bag, doesn't ask the value of money and price of produce before deciding how much to buy and just hands out all of her money to buy one single type of fruit and follows a really suspicious hooded stranger without questioning it at all. WTF. What's the point of her being reincarnated at all? She's just a child spirit at this point. The previous strongly established premise completely flew out the window with this trip.
