Why are people acting shocked that the main ML is manipulative and an a-hole? The tags literally say “obsessive” and “possessive” lover. Y’all went into this thinking ML was a green flag? Really?

Does obsessive and possessive mean playing with someone? I mean it can, but it doesn't directly mean that. He could be obsessive by seeing her every day and night and wanting to know everything she does.. and possessive could be not wanting her to talk to other men or get close to her ex. So, I think people have a right to be surprised and disturbed by his turn of character.. he's playing with her feelings... that's something different, and it's nasty.

When we have a character that is described as “obsessive” and “possessive”, that is a RED FLAG. It always is, because someone who’s a green flag is respectful of their lover’s boundaries and aren’t controlling of them. Your lover not wanting you to talk to men is toxic and abusive. Possessive means to treat your partner like they’re an object that belongs to you. He’s playing with her feelings because he’s not respectful of her and sees her as “his”. That’s what possessive means.

It’s like reading a manga that’s tagged as gore, and being shocked it has fights and gang violence. Obviously, gore doesn’t directly mean that, but are you really shocked it has violence? Come on guysss

btw, I’m not saying you can’t find him disgusting, because he IS disgusting, but yall need to know when a character is tagged as a red flag, they’re going to have a lot of issues and disturbing behavior. People who may be sensitive to topics of abusive men should be aware so they can avoid these tags

I guess some people ride roller coasters and get off and say the roller coaster was scary, knowing they can be but they don't know how bad this roller coaster would be.
I think most people in the comment section know what red flag/green flag means. That doesn't mean, as they follow along in the story, they won't be outraged for the character that is being mistreated. I always say that art incites... the author of this story intended for it to incite people, it's working, people feel a need to vent. I don't know why you think they don't understand the basics of the 'flag' warning, or that they should be more complacent if they're going to read a story about a gray character.

I think it’s foolish, respectfully. By all means, do not be complacent, vent all you want! Be outraged! But don’t be shocked as if this was unexpected. (This manhwa was also added in a list named “yandere boys that might need therapy” LIKE GUYS ARE WE FOCUSED RN? Trash on the main ML though, I encourage it.

You would agree that if someone who’s extremely nauseous and throws up every time they’d go on a roller coaster, it would be reasonable for them to avoid it, right? Like, you know you hate roller coasters and they make you sick, so why’re you on one? ESPECIALLY one that has numerous warnings. No issue with commenting on how scary it was, but why the heck are you flabbergasted that you’re sick if you KNEW there was a really high chance of you vomiting? Just my opinion! It’s fine if we disagree
