You know it’s a good read when u actually hate the story but u continue to come back for more. the author truly did a good job with making unlikable characters with a banging plot. And the art. Chefs kiss* now J need to realize his feelings n Dan need to make J work his ass off to get him back.

I think it's the art mostly. Plot's not really banging as the author's even reusing plot from their first manhwa. And maybe you know what? Maybe the story? Like it's the new gen's first foray. Cos for the life of me, I don't understand why people love to hate on this but keep coming back

Some of it is the art but not completely. Yes the arts good but the author did a good job portraying Dan as weak. And i feel like I’ve met a lot of weak people like Dan stuck in abusive relationships and not sticking up for themselves until way later. And sue me but I do like redemption arcs when it comes to reading. In real life tho Jae woulda had to GO!!! n when I said I hated it I meant line love hate cause I hate how Jae treats Dan but the plot is actually interesting. The grandma, the debt, the boxing/obsession with winning, the sleep walking. Like this isn’t boring at all. it has some cliches fs but this is still very different.
I actually love the fact tht the author did a whole switch with their characters. like the convenience store characters were so charming and lovey dovey and boom we got thrown into a psyche ward. and I love tht the author made Gu seem like a golden retriever type meanwhile he’s literally Cerberus. Anyways loveeee a versatile author
No frrrr!! Ppl sometimes complain when authors switch up to other genres, but they’re an AUTHOR. If they can imagine and think of different types of plots n genres it’s a talent n should be hood news. (Not saying writing only one genre is bad though) So if a person can write a rlly good story for more than one genre, it’s absolutely awesome!! It should be praised cuz not a lot of authors (of course there’s a lot but it’s still a minority compared to the majority) can do that and still make it good.
