Ya I literally didn't see what the issue was, it isn't really that big of a deal. The point was that he still meant those words but he was jus taking inspiration from places that can relay those feelings better. She is Inez and she’s sharp as a whip and incredibly traumatized but she’s still Inez… she’s a person who still has random likes and dislikes, quirks, sayings, habits, random interests, and favorite forms of entertainment that she has no reason to hide even if she’s reserved. Those are all things to fall in love with… (And Carcel is like “Her smile with her friends is giving me a hard on : ]!” )

I think Inez could’ve been characterized a bit better too now that I’m writing this.

I’ve found that a lot of manga or webcomics that have black characters that have big exaggerated lips that often look worse than in this and in popular mainstream comics and anime. I honestly think most of the artist don’t know how to draw black characters and then copied off of other racist drawings of black people. The amount of non racist looking I’ve drawings of black people I have found been very few in in mangas and webcomics. If they are in webcomics it’s mainly one that was created by an POC or created by some not in South Korea or Japan. I’ve just hope that more artist would do their research and create better looking black characters.

To be honest with you I didn't read this manhwa but i saw some tictoks about it so i have a general idea about it but still I'm not reading this cause the ml's a jerk..but to be honest with you guys ml is supposed to be a jerk and a huge red flag cause he's a real devil...Devils are supposed to be red flags and if they are not then they are not actual devil thats there nature...I mean in most manhwa they would introduce the ml as devil cause of his cold and serious personality but he would still have some morals cause he's a human not an actual devil but this dude was introduced as an actual devil he's supposed to be morally corrupted and not feel any remorse even if he kills people or is shitty to the fl...

He ISN’T supposed to be a terrible person though. I know for a fact that he will not be evil to the main protagonist at all in like 30 chapters because this is a shoddy dime a dozen romance isekai.

That’s disgusting. You need to reflect on why I you haven’t even thought about these things.

Yea story telling is boring and I read it millions times but at the end of the day it's just a story. They may know that is bad and they are in old age so how else would they make it. They are trying to make him as bad and mean as they can so they know that it's bad

I agree. I’m okay with having sensitive topics and morally grey characters.This story tho portrays this particular topic in a way that makes it seem like the author’s agreeing with or saying the characters actions is no big deal. Lazy writing that just makes the author seem like a weirdo. Also it’s so damn boring, same old shit. A character being more nuanced (than evil guy doing evil shit cause he’s the devil + gets the girl in the end) is much more interesting. To me, criticism about this story and character is completely valid. I only excuse this type of thing in a smut manga, still weird but I’m not gonna complain about a story where 80% of the plot is sex.
