can someone explain to me why the chief couldn’t just fire pervy assistant guy once they knew he overstepped boundaries and sexually harassed Dr. Yoo?? or did i miss something??? what do you mean, “sorry you might have to run into him again”??? sir, isnt that man your subordinate?? u cant fire him or at least send him somewhere he can’t escape from or get near dr. yoo??
like, i just dont think he’s the same amount of intimidating or cunning…so far it feels like they made him more timid, and submissive…and im sorry thats kinda stereotypical yaoi MC imo…like i was kinda interested with the opening of him doing sexual things to trap his targets and kill them…and i know he said he has to act inexperienced with the violence and explicitness of the underworld but then his thoughts seem to reveal actual inexperience and contradicts that statement…unless the ML can read minds and yujin knows this(yea, i dont think soooo).
OG yujin not stabbing the guy with no hesitation or fear in his face may not be good for his cover up that he’s just “some guy that stumbled into this,” but…it sure established some powerful aura and that yujin was not someone to be easily messed with. he FITS with a gang leader. because he is just as unhinged and willing to do the dirty work as the ML is. he’s just as cold. just as calculating.
the new yujin acts like a stressed, temp worker who just wants to get this over with but is scared and worried at every turn towards violence EVEN THOUGH, like the OG, he desperately wants to make it up to his father figure/politician guy and is no stranger to the ugliness or violence of the underworld. weirdly, he seems to lack the same amount of determination as OG.
and going back to the topic of stereotypical…i want to believe its because they want to rationalize why the ML, who is a gang leader, would suddenly demand sexual favors from this random dude they found on his turf. Like, “oh its not just cuz this is a yaoi and why wouldnt they fck, he was actually gay the whole time and his whole gang knows and respects this.”
okay. sure, ig.
“and he’s also kinda a fck boi”
sure.
but like, i dunno i feel like it takes away from his violent edge/intimidating aura when his opening scene is him torturing that one traitor by fcking him at gun point. its not as scary as the original torture scene and he ALSO loses some of his original aura.
yes i am aware that this is still a smutty BL. But i feel like there was no need to reinforce that with “extra sex with other guys” and replacing the scary torture scene with “sexy (?) torture scene”
seeing that visualization of sohan “waiting in the same place for too long” made me tear up a bit. he rly tried so hard to have his dad love him/care for him like a real father would. now he’s moving on to better things but NOW SIHWA has health issues??? NOOOO
but i am seated for his parents’ love story. i see already that both father and son are good at getting into high places…./j
its very sad to give someone your all while trying to show them love and care as family should (usually), but when its never reciprocated, and your relationship with that person only results in hurt for you and enables the other to continue their toxic behavior—-ultimately—its not worth it sohan. you’re so young and have people who are more than willing to be a family better that those people who shared blood with you could ever be(even if they tried). and you have your lovely, slightly clingy and feral, alien girlfrie—i mean boyfriend! who didn’t look kinda yandere at the end of this chapter at all…but lets be honest—who wouldnt kill for our babygirl sohan? esp when the target was that pos!
why tf would they change his name from tako to octo?? THATS NOT AS CUTE
TAKO FOR LIFEEEEEE!!!!
