Why do I think this artist falls into the latter category, and I am concerned.

I think the discourse started for this particular manhwa stems from the lack of warning signs or indicators that it will delve into the dark themes. If you're just an average reader of BL, it feels like the toxic part just hits you right in the face. Personally, what made me stop wasn't the plot, but the pacing

Their background story & their talk about miscommunication could be a start of a budding relationship, but not enough for him to suddenly love her but more like, he's seeing her in a new light so I can also understand that he'll like her eventually.
But Eeron on the other hand, as of the latest chapter, I just don't see it he was mistreated so bad. He also literally was out for revenge after being abused so idk why he's showing signs that he likes her romantically like when I witness a crazy bitch getting crazier, I will run the hell away to the opposite direction. I would have preferred if he hates Sera but also "cares" for her because she's family, like the common toxic family culture I have here lmao

For this manga, sometimes even our main characters don't have the best of luck and timing. I wish more authors tackle these kind of plot. It doesn't even have to be BL too.
