Dropped at chapter 57

It had potential, was picked up by a decent tl and the art was good as well as the character designs. Even the relationship at the beginning was refreshing but then i started to hate the male lead because he forced a kiss, made her hate him to ‘protect her’ while ultimately making it seem like their decade or two of friendship was all fake and knowing that she’s the revengeful literally as he was doing it, and is all surprised when she blackmails him especially now that she no longer has her mother and he was the only person she could trust before that was broken too. The knight, seemed to be a better choice until he started keeping tabs on her and reporting to the emperor because they felt threatened by the prince from a neighbouring country, in my kind thats another betrayal, AND when he witnesses the emperor force a kiss on the mc he becomes cold and uncaring all of a sudden as if u cant be nice to someone who still saved u and ur sister because they kissed someone that mind you isnt in a relationship with anyone. Despite the male lead being in love with mc he still pushes all his work on her and instead of going the whole lovers route he straight up asks for marriage in front of nobles at a meeting and gives daggers to anyone who disagrees so that she ultimately cant have any out other than her consent to marriage, which imo is pretty shitty. He also seems to not want her memories back at all because he knows he fucked up and keeps bringing up old times to someone who doesn’t remember them and knows she doesn’t remember, he keeps saying shes like how she was back then which is fucked imo to tell to someone with amnesia as they still work to death because he pushes all his work onto her to be petty, the MC also keeps separating herself from her old self saying theyre diff people but that mindset pisses me off, she became a villain because of the things that happened to her and denying their existence and their mark on the world as a proof that they existed by ‘fixing’ the very thing that kept her safe and destroying every connection she had ultimately making her powerless in fromt of the male lead so that when she inevitably tried to flee the country she’ll fail because she gave up her influence. Truly the reincarnation aspect is stupid, the setting is fine if she did simply just have amnesia it wouldve been better, or if it was trying to fix the misunderstandings or trying to go against the previous duke as a revenge story i would have a reason to continue reading but there is no end goal whatsoever and having it be only romance that doesnt really flow properly is a drag and a waste of space in my bookmarks. The art truly is beautiful, the story is non-existent, the mc i liked until i didn't, the love interests are both weirdos that seem to think they have a claim to her, where one does nothing to pursue her but expects love back and the other pursue her into uncomfortable situations and kisses her multiple times without consent and this is only possible because he’s attractive and also the highest in terms of power in the country… if someone who wasnt as powerful or attractive did that you’d kick him in the balls and call the police or scream for help and run :)

Thanks for reading my rant <3

The Young Lady is A Royal Chef

Ongoing | Risha,Paya | 2020 released

Dropped at chapter 110, there was an art change but it was at least equal and arguably better than the original so it was fine, the plot was still good too but after the second art style its become a simple, messy, boring as fuck story thats not even cute anymore. They completely ignore any love interests involved other than the prince, such as the prince from the other continent or the son from the enemy family and instead introduced the crown prince as the other princes’ rival which i dont care about at all and ruined the enemy’s son’s character and then dropped the plot line for the other continent. They prince’s personality also seitches with each art change, he originally was similar to her to take things as literal and not socially developed because he spent most of his tike in battle which was endearing especially because he said he doesn’t really understand humour or is humorous so him falling in love with her first because of essentially nothing didnt make sense especially cuz it happened after the first art change, he suddenly became overly jealous of if she was ever friends with men, as well as how they only just established their friendship and the mc never questioned her feelings in later chapters because if how many times this guy has tried to force her into a kiss. Not to mention that this was supposed to be about cooking and she’s supposed to be on a short vacation meanwhile she’s been in and out of only the emperors castle for the last 40 chapters AND i started this because of the familial relationships and seeing the misunderstandings get resolved as well as the story behind her mother, now its all about romance and essentially the prince’s bickering back and forth about the mc, way to make this story go from like a 4 to a 1, if i wanted to read a shitty story with mid art i’d look at the plethora of bullshit that already exists.

In This Life, I Will Raise You Well, Your Majesty!

Ongoing | Anne,Steak,Jaha | 2019 released

Loved this, I started reading this a few hears ago and forgot about it after my app i was reading it on stopped updating and luckily enough it was enough time for it to be completed (which i didnt know until ch100) loved it, the relationships are nice, some characters could’ve had more plot lines and someone else commented about the rushing it at the end and fitting all the plot points in at the end which i agree with because i still dont understand the big bad at the end but im glad all the characters are happy i am a little saddened by the knight switching up a lil after making him so likeable and kind of discarding his character in the end but meh. Overall i liked its for its cuteness, the fact the female lead was strong (but also that she was as strong and not second in terms of power) and familial love and glad it wasnt romance oriented, lots of mahua about mothers and their trauma with their children end up being about their spouses instead and romance heavy which defeats the point of the title of the manhua being about their children, so im glad this one truly was about her children until the end.

I Failed to Divorce My Husband

Ongoing | 럭키고릴라,Haloje | 2019 released

Master piece imo, art is great, story is great, ending is pretty good too, translation is great and the pages are clean (except chapter 95-99) over all enjoyed it, the male leads personality isnt some psycho that wants to manipulate everything behind the scenes so that his wife can never leave him and the main character is actually very smart and wouldnt have been one of those characters that gets trapped in a marriage because she has nothing to her name. They actually trusted each other and most issues are resolved within the next chapter which is great because misunderstandings are annoying when they drag out for 20 chapters. Oh and i usually hate the whole childhood crush thing that never goes away because male leads often try to come off childlike when theyre older so that they still receive skinship but in this case that didnt happen, their whole relationship actually made sense and they're both cute and equally jealous, havent felt this satisfied after finishing a manhua in months.

Screw the Noble Life, I’m Going Home

Welp art style changed and thats usually a huge killer for me personally. I enjoyed the story, laughed a lot and each character looks good, unfortunately with the art change it does change any eagerness to read anymore. Uggghhhh sadly dropped on chapter 38, will marinate in hopes it changes back :’)
