It was in the Novel, it was like the epilogue when Ido’s POV was shown so it was like both the prequel and sequel in Ido’s POV. Prequel in sort of it shown what happened after he died. Well technically after he went after Sejin to his death he woke up and thought that his suicide attempt failed only for him to realize he went back to the past. Sequel in a sense that he deliberately traced Sejin’s parents and history.
